Strengthening international trade: SIPPO Morocco presents its dynamic November initiatives
In November, SIPPO Morocco orchestrated a series of activities to mark an intense month of engagement.
The first initiative focused on the training of trainers, with the launch of the final phase in partnership with the #GTEX programme. Launched in 2018 and reinforced in 2020, this training brought together seventeen leaders and managers from our BSOs. Ten of them were certified as trainers, including #Morocco_Foodex, #ADA, #AMITH, #FENIP and #ASMEX. The aim of the online training series was to review existing content and deepen the knowledge of new participants in the field of international trade. A practical face-to-face session took place from 20 to 24 November, allowing participants to apply their learning under the guidance of ITC experts.
Study trip to Zurich, Switzerland
From 24 to 26 November, #SIPPO Morocco organised a powerful study trip to Zurich, Switzerland, in collaboration with our expert Jonas Spahn. The aim was to strengthen market exploration efforts for #ASMEX and #AMDIE in Switzerland. The trip included comparative market analysis, networking support and in-depth exploration of buyer requirements and industry standards. Constructive meetings with MaxHavelaar Fairtrade, Migros on #Sustainability requirements & certification and potential buyers like Biodina marked the trip. We also visited #Globus stores specialising in high-end Swiss retail, established fruitful contacts with managers and received support from Mr. Christophe de Figueiredo, President of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Morocco.
Food Ingredients FiE exhibition at Frankfort
Finally, from 28 to 30 November, our presence at the Food Ingredients #FiE exhibition was an incredibly enriching experience. Accompanied by our SIPPO experts and representatives of AMDIE and ASMEX, we assessed the potential relevance of Morocco's participation in a future edition of FiE. Exchanges with #CBI, #IPD, Moroccan and Indonesian companies revealed significant opportunities. A visit to the Tunisian pavilion led to fruitful discussions with the Tunisian BSO #CEPEX and the SIPPO team, creating synergies for sharing experiences. Meetings with the pavilion organisers and presentations on consumption trends rounded off this successful mission.
