ESG Principles of Sustainability – Training for CCIRS Employees and Their Partners

With the support of the Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Srpska (CCIRS) organized training for its employees on the topic of sustainable business models, sustainability reporting, and EU regulations. The training aimed to develop the internal capacities of CCIRS staff to more effectively support companies transitioning to sustainable business models.

Over the past month, five modules were conducted for employees in the CCIRS, as well as in regional chambers. Simultaneously, training on the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) business concept and sustainable business models was provided to companies in the textile and technical wood sectors. Through these workshops, participants were acquainted with sustainability requirements and potential changes in their business models.

As part of the recently conducted sustainability training, CCIRS employees were grouped into three teams and tasked with selecting a company for in-depth analysis, focusing on environmental impact, socially responsible business practices, and management. The goal was to develop a concrete plan describing how to implement a sustainable business model within the chosen company. The CCIRS staff demonstrated a high level of dedication and expertise during this exercise, providing valuable insights into the application of sustainability in a real business environment.

We look forward to future collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Srpska, which demonstrated a commendable level of commitment during the previous training.
